Neurology / Stroke Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Med Star Franklin Square Medical Center (MFSMC), a member of Med Star Health, is seeking an experienced nurse practitioner to join their multidisciplinary team focused on state‑of‑the‑art stroke management.
Responsibilities- Serve as a first responder for stroke patients presenting to the emergency department.
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, initiate acute TPA orders, and coordinate diagnostic imaging studies.
- Develop diagnostic treatment plans in collaboration with attending neurovascular interventionalists, stroke neurologists, and neurocritical care specialists.
- Assist with patient management in the interventional suite.
- Contribute to the growth and expansion of the neurovascular intervention program at MFSMC, a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- At least two years of tertiary‑level inpatient experience in neurology, neurosurgery, or stroke‑related settings.
- Knowledge of acute stroke management protocols, TPA administration, and interventional radiology procedures.
- Strong clinical decision‑making skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Maryland.
