Position: Regional Vice-President Sales (30144)
Overview

Regional Vice-President Sales (30144) at Exam Works — a senior sales leadership role. Exam Works is seeking a seasoned sales professional to join the team as a Regional VP of Sales. This person should have knowledge in claims management, workers' comp, legal services, or a related industry. The territory runs from Virginia to New England, with the candidate located in New Jersey or New York due to central locations;

approximately 60-80% travel is required. When not traveling, the role is remote.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for effective sales organization design, including roles, sales channel design, and resource deployment
  • Direct and organize the sales leadership to meet revenue objectives and secure new accounts
  • Align the sales organization’s objectives with business strategy through participation in corporate planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, resource planning, and budgeting
  • Perform market analysis regularly and review results with senior management; recommend adjustments to corporate sales strategies
  • Maintain and nurture key customer relationships; develop strategies to expand the customer base
  • Provide leadership to the sales organization’s management team, fostering accountability, high performance, and ethical behavior
  • Determine which industry events, conferences, trade shows, seminars, and meetings to attend; organize client entertainment as needed; travel as necessary
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Managerial Responsibilities
  • Ensure all responsibilities are performed in accordance with company standards, policies, and applicable laws
  • Manage workflow and provide coaching, training, and resources to help staff meet goals
  • Encourage morale, maintain harmony, and resolve grievances
  • Oversee timecards and coordinate overtime with management and staff
  • Participate in staffing requirements including hiring, onboarding, and separations
  • Create and implement plans to meet department goals and metrics
  • Communicate changes effectively and support affected employees
  • Manage insubordinate staff when warranted, and initiate coaching or corrective actions as required
  • Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and report concerns and growth opportunities
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, sales, or related field (preferred)
  • Valid state driver's license
  • 10+ years of sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge of claims management, case management, and Medicare compliance related to workers' compensation, no-fault, liability, and disability (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to convey information clearly, listen effectively, and ask clarifying questions
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to develop strategies that differentiate products and services in a competitive market
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to market the company’s services using intuition and experience
  • Ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations
  • Problem-solving ability with the capacity to develop alternative solutions for client issues
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrates teamwork and promotes a positive, team-oriented environment
