Senior Construction Litigation Attorney

Roseland, NJ - (6-10 years' experience)

Our client, one of New Jersey's top-ranked, Chambers-rated law firms based in Roseland, NJ, is seeking a talented Senior Construction Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney with significant experience to take on complex, high-stakes matters and play a key role in a thriving team.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage a sophisticated caseload of construction-related disputes from inception through resolution in both state and federal courts.
  • Represent clients in a wide range of matters, including delay claims, change order disputes, termination claims, mechanic's liens, and payment/performance bond claims.
  • Handle all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, taking depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Advise clients on risk management, bid protests, and contract negotiations.
  • Work independently and strategically in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • 6-10 years of solid experience in construction law, handling both private and public construction agreements and litigation.
  • Admitted to practice in both New Jersey and New York and in good standing.
  • Proven first-chair litigation experience in both state and federal courts is required.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills are essential.
  • A self-starter with the ability to manage cases independently and drive them forward.
  • Trial experience and a prior judicial clerkship are highly preferred.
  • Experience with contract review and negotiations is a plus.
