The Borough is seeking a full-time laborer-40 hour a week-M-F 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The duties will include various activities on public rights of way, snow plowing, leaf collection to basic building maintenance and janitorial duties. Due to the nature of the position employees may be required to put in overtime during an emergency or disaster. Some of the job duties of a public works laborer typically involve working in the outdoors, which means exposure to the elements.
The work is very physical nature, involving such tasks as shoveling, raking, lifting, and bending prospective employees should be able to lift 80 to 100 pounds. CDL license is a plus and is required in 1st year of employment. Union Position – Teamsters Local 469. Starting salary $37,694.00 plus health care and pension
