Senior/Lead Node.js Engineer

Location: Roseland, NJ

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Duration: 6-month contract with potential extensions

Engagement: W2 / C2C

Rate:$65-$75/hr

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior/Lead Node.js Engineer with a strong software engineering background and hands-on experience building, supporting, and scaling high-performance, highly available applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js, full-stack software engineering, SQL/No

SQL databases, Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD, TDD, and production troubleshooting
. This role requires an engineer who can remain hands-on while contributing to technical design, development, and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Node.js applications and backend services

• Build and support high-performance and highly available applications

• Work across backend and frontend development as needed.
• Develop and integrate APIs and distributed application components.

• Troubleshoot production issues and perform performance tuning.

• Contribute to technical design, code quality, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop, integrate, and scale applications.
