Program Therapist Position
Reasons Eating Disorder Center at BHC Alhambra Hospital seeks a Program Therapist to provide compassionate care to adult and adolescent patients in our inpatient eating disorder program. This role is available Tues‑Sat or Sun‑Thurs.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and conduct educational, therapeutic, and support groups for adults and adolescents.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare team members and community providers regarding patient status and progress.
- Interact and communicate with patients, families, outpatient providers and community agencies in assessment of and service to patients.
- Provide liaison and referral services to community agencies and appear in court when requested or subpoenaed.
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with professional ethics according to professional and facility standards.
- Master’s Degree preferred; education in Psychology, Marriage/Family Therapy, Social Work or related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; specialty experience with eating disorders preferred.
- Program Therapist must be Masters prepared or higher; license is not required.
- May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
- Bi‑lingual (Spanish) highly preferred.
