Patient Transportation Specialist

Responsibilities

The Patient Transportation Specialist provides transportation of patients to and from the facility, delivering friendly respectful interaction and role modeling of positive socialization while maintaining safety.

• Provide encouragement and support to patients to help meet outpatient treatment plan goals and objectives.
• Provide a positive experience for patients at all times.
• Provide a transportation experience that treats all patients with respect and dignity and is encouraging and supportive.
• Greet each patient(s) at the van door and open the van door for each patient assisting the patient into and out of the van as indicated.

Position requirements include a high school graduate or equivalent, possession of a valid Class B driver’s license, 21 years or older with a good driving record, and the ability to interact positively with patients and referral sources.
