As a Maintenance Technician you will perform and support manufacturing equipment maintenance in the facility. This role will perform simple to semi-complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic repairs on a variety of production machinery and equipment in the manufacturing facility and will support the maintenance team with various maintenance tasks and projects.
The Maintenance Technician will:- Use small hand tools and a variety power tools and equipment effectively and safely.
- Conduct routine inspections and scheduled preventative maintenance on plant equipment including lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and parts replacement to prevent breakdowns on Furnaces, Air Compressors, Machine Shop machines.
- Troubleshoot, repair, service, install / uninstall production machinery
- Perform facilities maintenance as required such as: painting, renovation, assembling shelves, equipment moving and lighting.
- Participates in 6S programs and maintains work area, tools, and equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures, fall protection procedures, and use of personal protective equipment.
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of facility maintenance experience
- 1+ years of experience in industrial machine tool maintenance including electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and general repairs
- 1+ years of experience operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment
- Work with safe manufacturing processes and understand that eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area.
- Knows that safety shoes are recommended in the manufacturing area.
- Work around chemicals.
- Good vision (natural or corrected), excellent hand dexterity in both hands.
- Must be able to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally.
- Must be able to frequently walk and stand for short periods of time
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs, occasionally lift and move objects up to 50lbs.
- Climbing ladders and working from heights.
- Repeated standing, walking, and bending are required.
- Ability to perform in a production environment with unusual conditions such as high-volume noise level and dust.
- Available to work overtime if necessary, including weekends.
- Attend training sessions as required to meet standards of job-related activities relating to all HSC applications.
- Participate in cross-training efforts interfacing with other departments to acquire additional skills and knowledge for advancement.
