GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The EHS Manager is responsible for leading and managing safety initiatives within a precast concrete manufacturing environment. This role focuses on ensuring the safety of employees, contractors, and visitors by implementing and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and practices specific to the precast concrete industry. The EHS Manager collaborates closely with production, engineering, and management teams to help create a culture of safety excellence, minimize risks, and promote compliance with relevant regulations.
Salary range ($80,935.00-$97,123.00). Based on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Foster a culture of safety by promoting open communication, encouraging reporting of safety concerns, recognizing safe behaviors, and addressing unsafe practices.
- Implement measures to minimize the organization's environmental impact, including waste management, pollution prevention and sustainable practices.
- Develop, implement, and oversee the safety processes and policies, addressing specific hazards and risks.
- Conduct regular assessments of production processes, equipment, and work areas to identify potential safety hazards. Recommend and implement corrective actions and controls.
- Stay current with local, state, and federal safety regulations applicable to general industry. Ensure the organization's compliance and update safety programs and policies accordingly.
- Organize and deliver safety-training sessions for employees, covering topics such as LOTO, proper lifting techniques, PPE, fall protection and confined space entry. Maintain training records, OSHA logs, DART/TRIR rates, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Develop and/or create Job Hazard Analysis documents to identify risks associated with specific job tasks.
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure they adhere to the organization's safety standards when working on-site.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Document findings and recommend improvements.
- Compile and analyze safety-related data to produce reports for management, identifying trends, areas of concern, and opportunities for improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, experience may be substituted.
- 5+ years in safety management within the construction, manufacturing, or precast concrete industry.
- OSHA 30 hour in General Industry, preferred.
- Must be able to obtain OSHA 501 certification.
- Proven experience in EHS management in a construction and/or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and engage employees in safety initiatives.
- Excellent people skills to ensure good relationships with all employees and external contacts at all times.
- Analytical skills to identify trends, interpret safety data, and recommend improvements.
- Understanding of environmental regulations (water, air, and waste).
- Proficiency in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and developing Job Hazard Analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for delivering training, creating reports, and interacting with employees at all levels.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to safety.
