• Comply with food service manager's instruction on production, preparation, and service of food.
• Account for meals (reimbursement and à la carte sales).
• Adhere to cleaning and sanitization standards for kitchen, serving area, cafeteria, and dishroom.
• Maintain food safety in handling, preparation, storage, and service.
• Process students through breakfast and lunch lines using computerized point of sale equipment.
• Work efficiently and cooperate with other employees.
• Attend job‑related training classes and workshops.
• Interact with students positively and professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate or hold GED.
• Basic arithmetic, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds and stand on a hard surface for 3‑6 hours with bending, twisting, and repetitive motions.
• Experience in institutional food service operations and/or school food service helpful.
• Must complete Serve Safe course and pass exam with 70% accuracy or higher within 1 year of hire date.
• Previous point‑of‑sale experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage time efficiently.
• Demonstrated experience working with a culturally, ethnically, racially, and socioeconomically diverse school community preferred.

Nutrition Services Associate: $20.23 - $22.74 hourly (based on 2025‑26 contract).
