Scale Operator

Description

The Scale Operator plays an important role in daily operations by ensuring all incoming and outgoing materials are weighed, recorded, and processed accurately. This position supports production, logistics, and compliance through consistent attention to detail and clear communication.

This role is well suited for someone who is organized, reliable, and comfortable working with both people and systems.

• Operate computerized scales to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing trucks and materials
• Record and log weigh ticket information including material type, weight, vehicle details, and customer information
• Direct drivers and visitors to appropriate loading and unloading areas
• Verify material contents and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers
• Assist with basic customer service questions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe weigh station environment
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Assist with administrative tasks and special projects as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing, recycling, or industrial environment preferred
• Strong computer skills with attention to accuracy and detail
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
