Overnight Member Services Representative

Job Summary

The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative) will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. You will also be responsible for closing that day’s shift and creating an accurate bank deposit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
• Handle all front desk activities including:
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with questions.
  • Check members into the system.
  • Sign up new members.
  • Take prospective members on tours.

• Facilitate updates to members’ accounts as needed.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating to the Manager as necessary.
• Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of the club.
• Close the shift by balancing the cash drawer, generating daily reports, and verifying entries.
• Create a bank deposit for the next day.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude!
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Excellent customer service skills; ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers, exceeding expectations.
• Strong listening skills with empathy and problem-solving abilities.
• Diplomacy in all interactions, using appropriate language and behavior.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk continuously during the shift.
• Talk in person or on the phone throughout the shift.
• Ability to work overnight shifts (3rd shift).
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
