* Acts as liaison between the Epidemiology Team, Immunization Team, Clinical Health Services team and the specimen processing lab.
* Aids in the data entry and preparation of reports using various databases.
* May require providing vacation or sick leave coverage as needed for medical assistant related  the various clinical settings.
* Provide vaccination at community locations to include extended hours and weekend hours.
* Work closely with the Mobile Health Unit driver to plan/organize community outreach events as needed.
* Complete other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor and HHS leadership.
* Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
** MINIMUM

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*** High School Diploma and Certified Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Tech certification required.
* 2 years demonstrated experience in a public health or clinical health setting.
* Ability to use Electronic health records.
* Basic data entry skills; organizational skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to deal effectively with the public and other employees.
* Current Texas Driver License, eligible to drive a county vehicle. Class A or B driver license preferred, but not required.
** STARTING SALARY RANGE:**  $18.31 - $22.89 hourly based on qualifications
