Responsibilities
  • Acts as liaison between the Epidemiology Team, Immunization Team, Clinical Health Services team and the specimen processing lab.
  • Aids in the data entry and preparation of reports using various databases.
  • May require providing vacation or sick leave coverage as needed for medical assistant related duties in the various clinical settings.
  • Provide vaccination at community locations to include extended hours and weekend hours.
  • Work closely with the Mobile Health Unit driver to plan/organize community outreach events as needed.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor and HHS leadership.
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Minimum

Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma and Certified Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Tech certification required.
  • 2 years demonstrated experience in a public health or clinical health setting.
  • Ability to use Electronic health records.
  • Basic data entry skills; organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to deal effectively with the public and other employees.
  • Current Texas Driver License, eligible to drive a county vehicle. Class A or B driver license preferred, but not required.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $18.31 - $22.89 hourly based on qualifications

CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
