Behavioral Health Driver Role Responsibilities
The BH Driver is responsible for transportation services for Texana clients. The primary responsibility is the safe transport of the clients to and from Texana Behavioral Health clinics, primarily in Fort Bend County. The Driver may be required to transport more than one client at a time and will be expected to manage scheduling for multiple pick-ups and drop-offs throughout the day.
The Driver also provides preventative maintenance and maintains documentation for their assigned vehicle. The Driver will report directly to the Clinic Manager and will perform other duties as assigned by the Clinic Manager. Routine hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with flexibility for later scheduled appointments. The position is responsible and accountable for the adherence to and promotion of the agency compliance policy.
- $16.54 /hour
- High School Diploma or GED
- Texas Driver’s License with valid Insurance
- Five years driving experience
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to utilize technology to coordinate schedules and communication between staff and clients.
- Ability to monitor and coordinate vehicle maintenance needs, including preventative care, for multiple vehicles.
- Six months’ experience as a driver / transporter
- Experience monitoring multiple vehicles
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform SAMA & CPR.
- Must be able to perform moderate lifting/carrying (15-44#), pushing, stooping, repeated bending, reaching above shoulder, simple grasping, hearing, walking, sitting and twisting.
- Must have ability to see, write, operate office equipment, operate a motor vehicle and have depth perception.
- Qualified individual must be able to perform these functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
