Position Summary

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for accurately recording customer payments, maintaining detailed accounts receivable records, managing collections on past‑due accounts, and reconciling and depositing dealership funds. This role requires strong attention to detail, prior AR experience, and the ability to manage multiple accounting functions with accuracy and professionalism.

Pay Scale

This position offers a base hourly wage between $22.00 and $27.00, depending on experience.

Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of prior accounts receivable experience required**
  • Proven experience with collections, cash handling, and reconciliations
  • Dealership accounting experience is a strong plus
  • CDK experience is a plus
  • 1–5 years of cash handling experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Professional, dependable, and customer‑service oriented
  • Strong computer, internet, and accounting system skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow accounting procedures
Key Responsibilities
  • Process and post customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain and manage accounts receivable records, including aging reports
  • Take appropriate collection action on accounts more that are past due
  • Match customer receipts to final invoices using packing slips and signatures
  • Reconcile accounts receivable balances and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and distribute monthly statements, invoices, and credit memos
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding payment status
  • Reconcile and deposit all monies received by the dealership
  • Review, code, and process vendor invoices using three‑way matching
  • Audit and process credit card bills and expense reports
  • Maintain customer files
  • Assist accounting and office projects as assigned
