A leading construction management and development firm is seeking an Assistant Estimator to support the estimating team on new multifamily, development, and rehabilitation projects across California and the western U.S. This position is designed to develop estimating expertise and provide long-term growth within the construction management group.

• Assist with conceptual and detailed cost estimates for projects at all stages
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs and develop unit pricing for multifamily projects
• Prepare and refine scopes of work based on plans, specifications, and reports
• Review architectural, structural, MEP, civil, and landscape drawings
• Utilize estimating software and tools including OnScreen Takeoff, Timberline, Earthwork, and Procore
• Participate in estimate reviews and collaborate across departments
• Analyze consultant reports and site conditions to inform cost assumptions
• Help assemble bid packages, solicit vendor pricing, and record unit costs
• Track cost trends, escalation, and regional pricing impacts
• Maintain and adapt historical cost databases for future estimates

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of construction means and methods, multifamily experience a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel and digital estimating tools
• Eager to learn, dependable, and collaborative
