As a Long-Term Substitute – PE Teacher & Summer Camp Leader at Merryhill School, you will guide students through an engaging physical education program during the academic year and lead athletic and recreational programming during the summer camp season. This full-time, seasonal role is ideal for energetic, flexible educators who are passionate about promoting health, teamwork, and fun year-round. You will play a key role in fostering physical development and positive group dynamics in both structured classroom settings and summer camp environments.
This position begins in Spring 2026 as a long‑term substitute for the elementary PE teacher and continues into التركسية 2026 as a lead for our athletics‑focused camp programming.
- Plan and deliver structured PE lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits
- Serve as a classroom leader and instructional support when coverage is needed
- Organize athletic games, fitness activities, and camp‑style recreational events
- Supervise students during all activities with a focus on safety and inclusivity
- Support and implement programming aligned with school‑year goals and summer campателями
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
- Serve as a positive role model through your behavior, communication, and professionalism
- Represent the school and camp positively in all interactions
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Teaching certification preferred
- Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a genuine passion for working with children
- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive environment across different learning and recreational contexts
