roseville electric is seeking an energy program technician to support a variety of customer-focused programs involving energy efficiency, renewable energy, conservation, rebates, and low-income assistance. This position will work directly with customers, contractors, and solar professionals. The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, solving problems, working with technical information, and ensuring applications and program data are accurate and complete.
experience in the solar industry, including solar pv installation, design, permitting, inspection, or interconnection, is highly desirable, as is an understanding of the technical components of a solar installation and its connection to the electric grid. Successful candidates will also be comfortable learning and using technology; familiarity with customer information, permitting, or asset management systems is a plus.

the current vacancy is for a regular, benefitted, and full-time position; however, the employment list established from this recruitment may be utilized to fill future regular and limited-term vacancies in the city for the duration of the list.
