Overview
Graduate Civil Engineer - Highways, Roads & Bridges — Join GHD as an Entry Level Civil Engineer in the US West Region (Roseville, CA). The role supports delivery of highways, interchanges, local roads, roundabouts, trails / active transportation, bridges, and related improvements.
Responsibilities- Improve and innovate by identifying shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures and applying change management practices to address them.
- Contribute to product and solution development, analyze customer needs, and help define and deliver engineering products.
- Support engineering standards specification by drafting standards and evaluating their effectiveness under guidance from more senior staff.
- Help others maximize use of knowledge management systems through support and advice.
- Develop personal capabilities through assessment, development planning, training, and coaching; pursue external professional accreditation where relevant; stay informed on technology, regulation, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the design of engineering solutions and participate in feasibility testing to provide data for design validation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 0-2 years of experience
- Possession of an Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certificate
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Perform engineering design tasks for roadway and transportation projects from preliminary to final design
- Design tasks include geometric layouts, alignments, profiles, and typical cross-sections
- Assist in cost estimates, reports, and technical memos
- Assist in transportation planning reports, roadway safety studies, and general traffic engineering projects
- Collect, compile, and analyze data including traffic, highway, and crash histories
- Assist in operational analysis for intersections, corridors, and interchange traffic
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 based on experience.
Work ModelHybrid work model: in-office three days a week in Roseville, CA with cross-office networking across the West Region.
