Civil Engineer – Land Development

Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring a civil engineer to join our Land Development Division. The primary duties of this position include preparing engineering studies for grading, sanitary sewer, drainage and water systems, preparation of construction plans, specifications and cost estimates (PS&E) for infrastructure improvements including roads, sewer and water systems, grading and drainage facilities for a variety of private and public projects.

• Preparation of engineering analysis, designs, and calculations for private improvement projects.
• Assist in the preparation of construction plans and cost estimates.
• Assist with construction submittal reviews, requests for information (RFI), and other construction related activities.
• Coordinate with other design team members and public agencies.
• Perform technical analyses and simulations to evaluate the feasibility and performance of engineering solutions.
• Assist survey and construction management team during project construction phase.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and methods.
• Proficient in using AutoCAD, including Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to gather, organize, and analyze engineering data, and produce comprehensive reports.
• Proven capability to efficiently manage a variety of engineering functions, work effectively as part of an engineering team, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location. Base pay is just one part of the comprehensive compensation package offered by Wood Rodgers.
