overview
we are seeking a department public information officer for the city of roseville electric department to plan, organize, and implement communication, marketing, and public relations initiatives.
responsibilities- develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies for the department.
- manage crisis communication efforts and collaborate with department leaders.
- oversee the creation of engaging content and graphics for various campaigns and communication channels.
- collaborate with stakeholders to promote the department’s mission and initiatives.
- four years of increasingly responsible experience in public relations, communications, or program implementation, preferably for a public agency or municipality, including one year of technical and functional supervision.
- a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with coursework in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism, business administration, public administration, or a related field.
- possession of a california driver’s license by date of appointment.
- possession of a california office of emergency services’ crisis communication certificate is highly desirable.
regular, full‑time position. Normal work schedule monday through friday, 8 am – 5 pm; occasional evening and weekend work may be required. A flex/hybrid schedule may be available. Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
