Senior Physician Assistant – Urgent Care / Emergency
Job Title: Senior Physician Assistant - Roseville Urgent Care/Emergency (Evening/32 or 36)
Location: Roseville, CA 95661
Shift: Evening - 32 or 36 hours/week
Week 1: Sun 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Mon, Thu, Fri 12:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Week 2: Mon, Tue, Wed 12:30 PM - 8:30 PM, Sat 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive physical examinations, review patient history, and compile medical data
- Administer or order diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, ECGs) and interpret results
- Perform therapeutic procedures: injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, infection management
- Develop and implement patient management plans and document progress in EMR
- Educate and counsel patients and families regarding post-procedure care, treatment plans, and preventive health
- Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
- First assist in surgeries or perform other department-specific procedures
- Round on inpatients and perform pre- and post-operative evaluations
- Mentor and guide less experienced Physician Assistants
- Collaborate with supervising physician, manager, and department members on performance improvement initiatives
- Minimum 3 years of Physician Assistant experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Department within the last 5 years
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program
- California Physician Assistant License – Required at hire
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) – Required at hire
- Physician Assistant National Certificate (e.g., NCCPA) – Required at hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
- Fluoroscopy Permit required or must be obtained within 18 months (Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, Radiation Oncology only)
- Department-specific procedure competency may be required
- Must work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
- Must be able to work onsite; relocation assistance is not provided
- Sponsorship is not available
- Advanced certification in specialty area (preferred)
- Experience working in acute care, fast-paced team environments
- Strong ability to work independently and adapt quickly
- Clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning
- Acute care and emergency management
- Patient triage and procedural skills
- EMR documentation proficiency
- Communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of safety protocols, compliance, and infection control
