Location

Roseville, CA 95661

Shift

Evening – 32 hours/week

Schedule
  • Week 1:
    Sun 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Mon, Thu, Fri 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Week 2:
    Mon, Tue, Wed 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, Sat 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations, review patient history, and compile medical data
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, ECGs) and interpret results
  • Perform therapeutic procedures: injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, infection management
  • Develop and implement patient management plans and document progress in EMR
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment, preventive care, and post‑procedure instructions
  • Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed
  • First assist in surgeries or perform other department‑specific procedures
  • Round on inpatients and perform pre‑ and post‑operative evaluations
  • Mentor and guide less experienced Physician Assistants
  • Collaborate with supervising physician, manager, and department members on performance improvement initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant within the last 5 years
  • Graduate of an ARC‑PA accredited Physician Assistant program
  • California Physician Assistant License – Required at hire
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) – Required at hire
  • Physician Assistant National Certificate (e.g., NCCPA) – Required at hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
Additional Requirements
  • Fluoroscopy Permit required or must be obtained within 18 months (Orthopedics, Interventional Radiology, Radiation Oncology only)
  • Department‑specific procedure competency may be required
  • Must work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced certification in specialty area (preferred)
  • 1–2 years of Urgent Care or Emergency Department experience as a Physician Assistant

  • Patient triage and procedural skills
  • EMR documentation proficiency
  • Communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with safety protocols, compliance, and infection control
