The Concessions Worker reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with all departments at @the Grounds. The role is responsible for greeting guests pleasantly while taking and filling food and beverage orders, operating the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system, and collecting payments. Must be 18 years or older.

• Complete Food Safety/Handlers and CA Alcohol Server training.
• Take customer orders and assemble them correctly.
• Verify identification for age‑restricted items.
• Accept payments from customers via cash register.
• Check food items for quality and safety standards.
• Keep the assigned area clean, sanitary, and safe.
• Perform basic maintenance of machines and equipment as needed.
• Answer questions about concession stand location and prices.
• Maintain concession stand records with product usage and food served.
• Complete inventory sheets daily; replenish supplies as necessary.
• Enter data into the computerized cash register system and balance register tills at the end of the day.

• Communicate with employees, co‑workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business‑like, respectful manner, fostering a positive, enthusiastic, cooperative work environment.
• Speak, read, and write in English.
• Work well in a team‑oriented, fast‑paced, event‑driven environment.
• Perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages) for POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
• Handle cash accurately and responsibly.
