Installation Technician, AV Technician, Field/Service Technician
* Description
* Key Responsibilities
* Lead field installation teams on commercial and enterprise AV projects, ensuring work is completed on time and to specification.
* Install of hardware and cabling of large-scale AV systems including:
oLarge commercial displays and monitors
oMulti-panel video walls
oProjectors and projection systems
oCustom-installed loudspeakers and distributed audio systems
oPTZ and conferencing cameras
* Install and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, and other major conferencing platforms.
* Install and troubleshoot matrix video systems and signal routing infrastructure.
* Work with Crestron, Extron, and similar control/automation systems, including touch panels, processors, and user interfaces.
* Install DSP-based audio platforms including Biamp, QSC, and others.
* Install analog and IP-based paging and intercom systems, including head-end equipment, speakers, endpoints, amplifiers, and infrastructure.
* Review, interpret, and execute from wiring diagrams, detailed schematics, engineering drawings, and scopes of work.
* Ensure installations meet industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and company quality benchmarks.
* Demonstrate exceptional cable-management practices, including:
oDressing and routing cables inside AV racks, enclosures, and credenzas
oManaging cable pathways in open ceilings, tray systems, J-hooks, and overhead environments
oMaintaining clean, serviceable, and code-compliant pathways
* Demonstrate experience overcoming challenging installation requirements, including creating or implementing custom structural backing, blocking, bracing, or support systems for AV components in non-standard or complex environments.
* Travel as required for project duration, including both in-state and out-of-state travel. Candidate must have the flexibility and willingness to travel for extended periods as project schedules demand.
* Serve in a non-lead role on certain projects as required by project scope or staffing needs.
* Assist with additional projects that may fall outside traditional audio-visual work, as assigned by management.

Skills & Qualifications
* * Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in commercial or enterprise audio-visual installation.
* Demonstrated experience as a lead technician or project lead on large-scale AV deployment projects.
* Strong understanding of AV signal flow, networking fundamentals, control system architecture, and structured cabling.
* Proficient in installation and field support of:
oMicrosoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex
oCrestron and Extron control systems
oBiamp and QSC audio DSP platforms
oMatrix video and AV distribution systems (HDBaseT, AV-over-IP, etc.)
oAnalog and IP-based paging/intercom systems
* Experience with large-venue professional audio applications, including installation of large-format speaker arrays, flown or ground-stacked PA systems, line arrays, and custom rigging or suspension solutions.
* Experience handling complex installation scenarios requiring creative or custom mounting solutions and structural support.
* Ability to manage cabling in open-ceiling environments, overhead tray systems, J-hook paths, and other commercial pathways.
* Ability to dress, route, and organize cabling within AV racks or enclosures to a professional standard.
* Ability to provide photographic documentation of previous installation work-including rack builds, cable dressing, structural support solutions, and large-audio system installations-as part of the screening process.
* Ability to read and execute from wiring diagrams, risers, schematics, and engineered scopes of work independently.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and correct issues quickly in the field.
* Strong communication and leadership abilities.
* Ability and flexibility to travel both within the state and out of state for project assignments.
* Flexibility to participate in non-lead tasks and occasional non-AV-related assignments.

* This is a Contract position based out of Roseville, CA.
* Pay and Benefits
* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
