• Inspect raw materials, in‑process components, and finished products using precision measuring tools and specialized inspection equipment.
• Work closely with production, engineering, and management to identify defects, maintain compliance, and drive continuous improvement.
• Use micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMMs to assess production dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform visual inspections to detect defects or non‑conformities and document findings.
• Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate product measurements.
• Assist in troubleshooting quality issues and coordinate resolution with the production team.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback and insights from inspections.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in quality control, machining, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in a quality inspection role within a gear manufacturing or precision machining environment.

• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, CMMs).
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Familiarity with gear‑specific standards helpful.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and process sheets.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, heat treatment processes, and material properties is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity to inspect small, precise components.
• Comfortable working in a factory setting with exposure to noise, heat, and machining operations.
