Infusion Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time)

Metro Infusion Center (Affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner for supervision and administration of infusion therapy on a 3 days/week basis at the clinic located in Roseville, MI.

3 days/week (24 hrs/week):
Tuesday–Thursday

• Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters for infusion therapy needs with ongoing assessment of IV site.
• Prepare medication for IV administration as ordered.
• Administer IV therapy via electronic pump with troubleshooting of pump alarms and/or administration via gravity/dial-a-flow tubing.
• Document infusion charting and patient message(s) in EMR system.
• Address patient’s questions or concerns related to adverse effects/side effects, diagnosis, treatment within scope of mid-level provider.
• Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs and establish priorities.
• Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
• Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with facility.
• Agree to cover any clinic as needed per direction of the Manager of Clinical Operations.
• Support professional practice by observing the following: use knowledge and practices in accordance with standards of nursing practice, JCAHO, state and local laws, and MIDC policy.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid APRN license.
• At least two years of NP office practice experience, preferably in an infusion-related practice.
• Infusion experience.
• Chemo experience is preferred, but not required.
• Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters for immunocompromised patients (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, COVID-19).
