As our next Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping our organization’s success. Responsibilities- Evaluates manufacturing processes by analyzing and applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials. Soliciting observations from operators.
- Modify and optimize manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, manufacturing methods and equipment options to reduce scrap and increase productivity.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Assures product and process quality by implementing methods to validate process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; and estimating future requirements.
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
- Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Able to perform process validations and equipment validations.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical discipline required.
- Minimum of five (5) or more years of engineering work experience required.
- Experience working with plastic joining, mechanical fixture design and automated processes preferred.
- 3d CAD experience (Creo Parametric preferred).
- Project management training, certificate preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Concepts preferred.
- This role may require less than 5% of travel, domestically. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.
