As an Application Support Specialist for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), you will support the Allied Radio Matrix for Emergency Response System (ARMER) services, including implementation, administration, and troubleshooting of applications and systems that maintain highly available state services.
Details:
This position requires onsite presence at 1500 W Co Rd B2, Roseville, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with limited telework opportunity.
Minimum Qualifications- 3+ years of IT application support services.
- Experience with Active Directory and Windows Server (2016 or newer).
- COTS application installation in a Windows network environment, and network application administration.
- Knowledge of network switches, routers, firewalls, IP addressing, DNS, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Firewall administration and configuration proficiency.
- Strong communication skills with a customer‑focused, solution‑oriented approach.
Education equivalencies:
• Master’s degree – 18 months of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree – 1 year of experience.
• Associate’s degree – 6 months of experience.
- Driver’s license required for occasional travel between agency offices.
- Experience with ARMER Applications/Databases/Servers/Field Network components.
- Troubleshooting of ARMER integrated components.
- Complex network design using VLANs and VRFs.
- Knowledge of MNIT services, standards, and processes.
- Support of applications on LINUX/UNIX systems.
- Experience with Postgre
SQL or MySQL. - Experience with field device networks.
- SEMA4 Records Check (applicable to current and past state employees).
