The Board’s Office of the Secretary is seeking two (2) Senior Subject Matter Experts – Project Managers (SME-PMs) to provide direct support for our Technology Optimization Program (TOP). The Senior SME-PMs will assist OSEC’s project management team on a large-scale applications development project.
Work ExperienceMinimum of 5 years as a Senior Project Manager.
Technical SkillsSeeking two (2) Senior SME-PMs to serve as the primary interface to business users, to assist the IT development team in understanding the business processes, workflows, and information requirements of the business users. The Senior SME-PMs will primarily serve in the support of existing applications and configuration of new functionality on an enterprise-wide platform. The candidate must be able to effectively plan projects as well as communicate with stakeholders to define requirements and resolve issues.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation techniques (e.g., use cases, user stories, process flows)
- Experience with business process
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams
- Familiarity with SQL for data querying and basic database concepts
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure Dev Ops)
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements
- Experience with Agile and traditional project management methodologies
- Knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies
- Proficiency in collaboration and communication tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git or SharePoint) for documentation management
- Experience with stakeholder management tools and techniques
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining project documentation, including technical specifications and user manuals
