Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dependable Body Shop Painter, Prepper, and All-Around Technician to join our team. This multi-skilled role is responsible for prepping vehicles for paint, painting, assisting in body repairs, and supporting general shop operations. The ideal candidate is experienced, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:Painting & Preparation:
- Prepare vehicles for painting (masking, sanding, taping, priming).
- Mix and match paint for accurate color and finish.
- Apply paint using spray guns and other equipment following OEM standards.
- Inspect painted surfaces for quality and make corrections as needed.
- Assist technicians in minor bodywork repairs (dent removal, filler work, panel alignment).
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed for paint or repair.
- Support body technicians with part replacement and hardware installation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the paint booth and work areas.
- Clean tools and equipment after use.
- Assist with inventory control of paint and materials.
- Follow safety protocols and use PPE appropriately.
- 2+ years of experience in auto body prep and paint required.
- Knowledge of paint mixing systems and refinishing techniques.
- Familiarity with auto body tools and safety practices.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
