Qualified Accountant – Ross-on-Wye

Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Ross-on-Wye who are seeking a qualified accountant to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to achieve a genuine work‑life balance within a relaxed and friendly working environment. Working closely alongside the Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accounting and taxation services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

• Preparation and review of Statutory Accounts
• Preparation and review of Self Assessment Tax Returns
• Corporation Tax compliance
• Payroll processing and review
• Preparation and submission of VAT Returns
• Reviewing work completed by other members of staff and providing guidance where required
• Supporting clients via email, telephone, and face‑to‑face meetings

While hybrid working is available, the successful candidate will be required to spend part of their time working from the firm's Ross-on-Wye office. The role would be particularly well suited to candidates based within Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, or Monmouthshire.

• ACCA, ACA or AAT qualified
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong knowledge of Excel and cloud‑based accounting software
  
  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience reviewing the work of colleagues and providing technical support where required
• Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
