Finance Assistant

Finance Assistant sought by a global, £multibillion plastics manufacturer with close to 200 locations worldwide.

The Role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, as a Finance Assistant your responsibilities will include:

Subsidiary accounting, involving a range of tasks from salaries, journals, accruals and prepayments, pension, reconciliations, TB, fixed assets and producing monthly accounts
Subsidiary budgeting
Cashflow forecasting
VAT reconciliations
Financial accounts reconciliations and processes (such as BS, PL & GRNI rec etc)
Financial accounting general enquiries
Audit assistance: year-end, interim and statutory audit, HMRC government audits and other audit requirements
Year End reporting and other adhoc reporting requirements
Annual stock check attendance
Treasury cover: raising payments, inter-company netting, bank & group correspondence and bank reconciliations

The successful Finance Assistant will demonstrate:

Self-driven, friendly & a positive disposition, with a clear focus on high quality and delivering results
Accuracy, attention to detail, excellent organisation skills
Actively participates in team work to ensure organisational goals are met
The ability to prioritise own workload & multitask
Previous accounting experience, AAT/CIMA/ACCA part-qualified or equivalent
Computer literate in all MS Office applications
Previous working knowledge of SAP and SAGE would be an advantage

£23,900 - £30,000 depending on experience
