Reinsurance Technician

Reinsurance Technician Salary: £65,000

London - Hybrid PURPOSE OF ROLE We are working with a leading Lloyd's MGA to recruit a Reinsurance Technician. The role sits within the Ceded Reinsurance function and will involve assisting with ceded reinsurance transactions including premium adjustments, profit commissions, recoveries, and broker rebates. RESPONSIBILITIES Support ceded reinsurance transactions, including premiums, commissions, recoveries, and operational reporting. Maintain the Outwards Reinsurance subledger, including contract references and credit control ledgers.

Track and collect reinsurance rebates, liaising with Finance and brokers. Assist with reinsurance security reviews, applying benchmarks and analysis. Collaborate with actuarial teams to review quarterly reserves by programme. DAY-TO-DAY Collate and distribute Outwards Reinsurance data accurately and on time. Assist with transaction settlements via market systems and provide supporting documentation. Manage reinsurance recovery billing, aged debt reports, and credit control processes.

Produce collection/advice/precautionary notes through to settlement. Prepare monthly reports on outstanding balances and paid/incurred movements. Assist with reporting on premium adjustments, collateral monitoring, and syndicate submissions. Work with Finance on cash application and reconciliation. Contribute to process improvements and reporting automation. EXPERIENCE

Experience with in the London Market (minimum 2 years preferred). Operational/ Technical experience, ideally within Outwards Reinsurance. Familiarity with Reinsurance market IT systems. Exposure to Lloyd's reporting advantageous. SKILLS Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
