School Receptionist – Long-Term Opportunity
Location: Rawtenstall
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Start Date: October
Contract: Long-term
We are seeking an experienced, friendly, and highly organised School Receptionist to join a welcoming village primary school in Rawtenstall from October.
As the first point of contact for visitors, parents, pupils, and staff, you will be the face and voice of the school. We are looking for someone who is professional, approachable, and able to provide an exceptional front‑of‑house service while supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of the school office.
Requirements- Previous experience working within a school office (essential)
- Confidence using Arbor, SIMS, and Parent Pay
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage a busy workload
- Remain calm and professional in a fast‑paced environment
- Committed to providing outstanding customer service to pupils, parents, staff, and visitors
- Welcoming visitors and managing the school's reception
- Answering telephone calls and responding to emails professionally
- Supporting parents with enquiries and providing excellent customer service
- Assisting teaching and support staff with administrative tasks
- Organising school trips, including paperwork and communications
- Maintaining accurate pupil records and school databases
- Using Arbor, SIMS, and Parent Pay to support the day‑to‑day administration of the school
- Carrying out general office administration to ensure the school runs efficiently
