Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant with SEMH Focus
A fantastic chance has emerged for a talented and caring Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant, specialising in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), to become part of a fantastic Primary School in Rochdale, OL16. This is a long-term position, commencing in September and set to last 2 terms. The school is in search of a dedicated support staff member to provide one‑on‑one assistance to a Year 3 class student, who requires academic and social support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide one‑on‑one support to a Year 3 student with SEMH needs.
- Deliver regular updates and progress reports in line with the individualised education plan.
- Apply effective de‑escalation techniques and promote positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with the SENCO and school team to support the student's academic and social progress.
- Maintain a supportive and collaborative environment as part of the school community.
- Prior experience working with SEN students.
- Strong understanding of effective de‑escalation techniques.
- Experience delivering updates and progress reports to an individualised education plan.
- Willingness to undergo appropriate child protection screening, including checks with former employers and DBC.
8:20 AM to 3:30 PM
- Daily rate from £90–£110 per day.
- Holiday pay.
