Level 3 Teaching Assistant - KS2

The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant within KS2, you will:

Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 (including Year 5/6 where required)

Deliver structured small group interventions in core subjects such as English and Maths

Provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs

Assist with planning and preparation of resources

Support pupils in preparing for end-of-year assessments and SATs (where applicable)

Promote positive behaviour and engagement in line with school policies

Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider staff team

Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

This role requires someone who is confident leading learning activities and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Have recent and substantial experience working within KS2

Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum

Be confident supporting upper KS2 pupils, particularly in Year 5/6

Have experience delivering interventions and supporting progress

Show initiative, resilience and adaptability

Be committed, reliable and professional at all times

Have strong communication skills and a positive, nurturing approach

Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (including SEN) would be highly desirable.
