The school has a strong community feel and a dedicated staff team committed to creating a positive and engaging learning environment. They are looking for a reliable, proactive and experienced TA who can provide consistent classroom support and contribute effectively to pupil progress.

The Role

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant within KS2, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2

Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

Working with small groups to reinforce learning in core subjects such as English and Maths

Providing additional support to pupils who need extra guidance

Supporting pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional needs

Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in line with school policies

Helping to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

You will work closely with the class teacher and wider staff team to ensure pupils are supported both academically and socially.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

Hold a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Have recent experience working within a primary school setting

Have experience supporting pupils in KS2 (upper KS2 experience desirable)

Demonstrate a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum

Be patient, adaptable and confident working with small groups

Show initiative while also working effectively as part of a team

Be reliable, professional and committed to supporting pupil progress

Experience supporting pupils with SEN would be advantageous but is not essential.
