Level 3 Teaching Assistant - KS2

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant within KS2, you will:

• Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 (including Year 5/6 where required)
• Deliver structured small‑group interventions in core subjects such as English and Maths
• Provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs
• Assist with planning and preparation of resources
• Support pupils in preparing for end‑of‑year assessments and SATs (where applicable)
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement in line with school policies
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider staff team
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

This role requires someone who is confident leading learning activities and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

The successful applicant will:

• Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Have recent and substantial experience working within KS2
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
• Be confident supporting upper KS2 pupils, particularly in Year 5/6
• Have experience delivering interventions and supporting progress
• Show initiative, resilience and adaptability
• Be committed, reliable and professional at all times
• Have strong communication skills and a positive, nurturing approach
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (including SEN) would be highly desirable.
