1:1 SEND & Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant
Full Time / Part Time
8:30am – 3:30pm
£13.68 – £15 per hour (experience dependent)
Immediate Start
Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a caring and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and behavioural challenges. This role is based within a welcoming Primary School and involves working in a KS1 setting to help a child access learning and develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
About the Role
As a 1:1 SEND & Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide personalised support to a pupil with additional needs
Assist the class teacher in delivering an inclusive and engaging learning environment
Support the child’s emotional regulation, social development, and daily routines
Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies and interventions
Build trusting relationships to help the pupil feel safe, supported, and motivated
The school is a nurturing two-form-entry setting with a strong community ethos. They are seeking a committed individual to join their team on a temporary basis, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.
Requirements
Relevant experience or qualifications linked to SEND support
A patient, adaptable, and positive approach
Strong reliability, punctuality, and communication skills
A commitment to supporting the school’s values and safeguarding standards
