The Governors of St Paul’s CE Primary School are looking to appoint an experienced and qualified Teaching Assistant (level 2a). The role is part‑time, 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, starting 1 September 2026. The initial contract is fixed term until 31 August 2027, with the possibility of becoming permanent subject to budget review.

- Implement learning activities for individuals and groups under the supervision of teaching staff
- Monitor pupil progress and establish strong, supportive and constructive relationships with children and their parents
- Support pupils with additional needs across all primary phases
- Deliver excellent teaching and learning opportunities, maintaining high expectations for all students
- NVQ level 2 or above qualification – appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) to grade ‘C’ or above
- Paediatric First Aid
- Team Teach experience
- Experience of working with or caring for children of relevant age
- Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment
- Experience of supporting pupils with diverse needs
- Experience of working with SEND pupils within a classroom setting
- Knowledge and understanding of child development
