Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated and compassionate Additional Needs Teaching Assistants (Level 2 & Level
3)
to support learners at a specialist post-16 educational provision in the Haslingden area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly supportive and learner-focused setting that specialises in preparing young adults with SEND for adulthood, citizenship and employment. The provision supports learners aged 18-25 with a range of additional needs, including severe and moderate learning difficulties and EHCPs.

Responsibilities
  • Support learners with additional learning needs both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist teaching staff in delivering engaging, learner-centred lessons and activities.
  • Promote independence, confidence and preparation for adulthood.
  • Support communication, social development and employability skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and other professionals.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience supporting children, young people or adults with SEND.
  • A caring, patient and flexible approach.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent) desirable.
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or relevant experience desirable.
  • Relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver targeted learning support.
  • Commitment to inclusion, learner development and professional growth.
