Commissioning Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commissioning Engineer to join a specialist engineering team delivering complex electrical, control, and automation projects. This company is seeking a talented Commissioning Engineer to play a pivotal role in ensuring that equipment operates to specification and meets client expectations This full-time role involves site-based commissioning, testing, fault finding, and customer support across UK and international projects, ensuring equipment operates safely and to specification.

This role would suit a hands‑on Commissioning Engineer with strong EC&I knowledge who thrives in fast‑paced project environments. It is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working on customer sites, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The position suits individuals who are organised, safety‑conscious, commercially aware, and comfortable with travel and occasional unsocial hours.

• Commission, test, and validate electrical and mechanical systems to ensure performance to specification
• Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting, calibration, and electrical rotation/IO checks
• Liaise with project teams and contractors to ensure high installation standards
• Produce detailed site reports, documentation, and daily progress logs
• Provide technical support and training to customer maintenance and operations teams

This role offers a market-leading salary of £45,000-£55,000 (OTE £65,000+), along with 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 27 days after five years' service, a company pension, performance-related bonus, cycle-to-work scheme, and additional employee benefits.
