Level 3/4 Ski Trainer and Instructor - Winter 2026/27

Job Description
We are now accepting applications for CSIA/PSIC or Equivalent Level 3 or 4 Ski Trainer and Instructor for the 2025/26 Winter season. There are full-time and/or part-time positions available. The successful applicants will bring a positive attitude, team player mentality, and strong work ethic.

Duties & Responsibilities
As a Ski Trainer and Instructor, you will be responsible for providing safe, fun and professional lessons for clients of all ages and abilities. Lessons will include instructor development and staff trainings, GAP year training programs and regular scheduled daily lessons.

Deliver safe, engaging and high-quality ski/snowboard lessons to guests of all ages and abilities

Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring a positive experience for each student

Attending required morning meetings and training sessions

Arriving in a timely manner for your daily lesson, ready to teach

Assess student progress and offer constructive, encouraging feedback

Managing splits in ability levels and a variety of group dynamics

Debriefing clients/parents in a positive and professional manner

Administrative, cleaning, or office duties may be required

Represent Red Mountain Snow School in a positive and professional manner

GAP Training Program

Our GAP training programs run from early-December until March. The role of the GAP program is to train the participants using CSIA methodology for teaching and skiing. The participants are training to meet the standards required to complete the CSIA Level 1 and 2 courses.

A successful candidate must:

Be flexible and prepared to work 2-5 days a week including weekends (your shift may change from week to week)

Be polite, patient, understanding, and have a positive attitude

Be enthusiastic and comfortable teaching children 3 years old +

Meet minimum physical requirements including the ability to pick up students and manually assist them during lessons and chair lift loading/unloading

Have the ability to work outside in all weather conditions

Commit to all season-long GAP year programs as assigned

Punctual, reliable and professional

Hold minimum Level 3 CSIA or equivalent qualifications

Dual certifications in ski and snowboarding an asset

Park certification an asset

CADs' certification an asset

Certified Course Conductor is an asset

Wages and Benefits
Wage rate:
Wages for Instructors range from $25.76 to $28.31, depending on certification level, plus 25% commission for Private request lessons.
