Client is a successful, public accounting and tax firm located in Roswell, GA. We are looking for a full‑time Tax Preparer to join our team. Responsibilities
  • Prepare moderate to complicated corporate and personal tax returns
  • Income Tax Projections and Tax Planning
  • Analyze IRS notices and draft responses
  • Perform Income tax research
  • Perform accounting functions, including records adjusting general journal entries, analyzing accounts, overseeing fixed asses and depreciation, and completing trial balance to prepare tax returns
  • Contribute to the client service team by producing attentive service interacting closely with clients
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll, sales tax, and property tax returns
Required Experience / Education
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred, but will accept other applicants with considerable experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Master’s Degree in Taxation or Master’s in Professional Accounting preferred
  • 5+ years current experience in a public accounting firm
  • Strong computer skills are a necessity including:
    Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CCH Pro System fx
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and work in a team‑oriented environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast‑paced environment
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Quick Books or other accounting software knowledge is helpful but not required
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently to complete recurring tasks
  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Must possess excellent communication skills with high standards of excellence
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Experience in a tax or law firm is preferred, but not required
