Client is a successful, public accounting and tax firm located in Roswell, GA. We are looking for a full‑time Tax Preparer to join our team. - Prepare moderate to complicated corporate and personal tax returns
- Income Tax Projections and Tax Planning
- Analyze IRS notices and draft responses
- Perform Income tax research
- Perform accounting functions, including records adjusting general journal entries, analyzing accounts, overseeing fixed asses and depreciation, and completing trial balance to prepare tax returns
- Contribute to the client service team by producing attentive service interacting closely with clients
- Strong working knowledge of payroll, sales tax, and property tax returns
- Certified Public Accountant preferred, but will accept other applicants with considerable experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Master’s Degree in Taxation or Master’s in Professional Accounting preferred
- 5+ years current experience in a public accounting firm
- Strong computer skills are a necessity including:
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CCH Pro System fx
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and work in a team‑oriented environment
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast‑paced environment
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Quick Books or other accounting software knowledge is helpful but not required
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently to complete recurring tasks
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Must possess excellent communication skills with high standards of excellence
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Experience in a tax or law firm is preferred, but not required
