Opportunities for professional development
Northbrook Preschool has served children ages 1-6 for 43 years.
Our campus consists of 18 beautiful acres to explore!
Our school offers a child-centered, emergent, developmentally appropriate curriculum. We provide a loving and caring atmosphere in which children learn through actively engaged learning experiences. Children are allowed to mature and develop within their own time. Here at Northbrook Preschool, we believe that children are capable of creativity, incredible imagination, expressing their experiences in multiple ways, complex thinking, problem solving, being authors of their own learning, making choices, responsibility, independence, respecting others and the environment, listening to self and others, communicating ideas, needs and desires, expressing empathy and complex emotions, sharing, helping, engaging in community with others, and building relationships.
Using these beliefs as our guide, the emergent curriculum is based on positive, thought-provoking experiences. We focus on all aspects of a child’s development – cognitive, social and emotional, physical, and spiritual.
Together, we are empowering exceptional education.
