The Event Support Staff at the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) is responsible for welcoming guests of the event and directing them to the event location. They are also responsible for keeping our admissions area secure and the facilities clean and operational during an event. This is a part-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Events Supervisor. Candidate must be willing to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends, minor holidays and evenings based on event bookings.

You will have the flexibility to select the shifts of your choice with most events occurring March-November.

Base pay range

$17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

This range is provided by CNC. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare event space including setting-up tables, chairs, lights, stage, sound, etc.
  • Be a welcoming face for guests of the event and direct to the correct location; answer any questions.
  • Assist in event monitoring.
  • Attend paid staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Be reasonably responsive via email or phone.
  • Drive guests to event location (and back) if needed in the CNC Golf Cart.
  • Throughout evening, check on facilities and make sure clean and functioning – clean if needed.
  • At conclusion of event assist in break-down of event including sweeping, cleaning, and emptying trash.
  • Opportunities will arise to fill the Venue Manager or Day of Coordinator role for specific events that will require more involved client communications and management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Fantastic customer service ethic
  • Displays high energy, is versatile and is self-directed.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Must be customer focused and willing to go the extra mile deliver a high-quality customer experience.
  • Must be available to work at least three events a month.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills in managing multiple projects with a high degree of detail.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and work outdoors in extreme weather conditions.
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License
