** The Department of Pediatrics at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center invites candidates to apply for an open-rank faculty position in pediatric population science, health outcomes, and disparities research. Area of research interest is open, but we are particularly interested in applicants conducting research in pediatric hematology/oncology health disparities, health equity, cancer survivorship, psychosocial risk and resilience, or community-based research. The successful applicant will join an energetic and highly collaborative group of researchers working in pediatric health equity research.
The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program provides comprehensive, state-of-the-art care for children and adolescents with cancer and blood disorders and is a member of the National Cancer Institute supported Children’s Oncology Group. The cancer survivorship program provides life-span long-term evaluation, support, and health education for the growing population of childhood, adolescents, and young adult cancer survivors. Roswell Park’s NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center is dedicated to growing its research focused on health equity and outcomes among childhood and adolescent cancer survivors with its vibrant and active research program in cancer prevention and control, cancer epidemiology, cancer care delivery, cancer disparities, and tobacco prevention and control research.
Program members also have strong ties with the diverse communities in Western New York. Roswell Park is committed to impactful community outreach and engagement, and there is an established infrastructure to support community engaged, action-oriented research. There are strong connections between our Pediatrics Department and Office of Community Outreach and Engagement, and we have an active research advisory board comprised of pediatric cancer caregivers to help support participant-centered research with real-world significance.
In addition, Roswell Park has numerous shared resources available to faculty to facilitate research, including:
1) Biostatistics;
2) Biomedical Research Informatics;
3) Data Bank and Biorepository; and

We are seeking candidates interested in developing and maintaining an innovative, independent, collaborative, and extramurally-funded research program. Academic rank is open and is commensurate with qualifications and experience. An appointment at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is also available.##
