Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, professional, and friendly Front Office Coordinator to join our growing women's health practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a critical role in creating a positive patient experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities- Greet patients and visitors warmly, always ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere
- Answer and route phone calls efficiently and respond to patient inquiries with empathy and accuracy
- Schedule and confirm appointments, manage provider schedules, and coordinate follow-up visits
- Verify insurance, collect copays and balance, and accurately enter patient information into the EMR
- Monitor and maintain front desk supplies, patient paperwork, and waiting room cleanliness
- Ensure all check-in and check-out processes are completed correctly and timely
- Collaborate with medical assistants, billing, and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies
- Assist in training new front desk team members and serve as a point of contact for front desk support
- Will cover team members during vacations or call ins.
- Help resolve patient concerns or elevate issues to the appropriate person when needed
- Other job duties may be assigned
- 2+ years of front office experience in a medical setting, OB/GYN preferred
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Athena a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
- Friendly, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and professionalism
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and workflow improvement
